In 1996, Lani recorded an album under Alpha Records with the carrier single, "Somebody Warm Like Me". Lani stamped her own style on the cover and the hit song granted her access to the mainstream music scene. Bodjie Dasig and Odette Quesada, two of Lani's dearest friends were key composers for this 8-track album.
